Celine is offering free admission to Wolfgang Tillmans’ show at Centre Pompidou’s library.

Celine is partnering with the Centre Pompidou’s public library to offer four days of free admission to Wolfgang Tillmans’ expansive exhibition, which occupies the space ahead of the museum’s multiyear renovation. The show—rooted in themes of access, preservation, and public knowledge—features 3,000 works and reflects Tillmans’ deep connection to libraries and publishing.

Art Basel intends to entice super-high spenders with multiple works priced above $10 million.

Art Basel is courting deep-pocketed collectors with a slate of works priced above $10 million, including a Picasso listed at over $30 million and a Joan Mitchell between $15 and $20 million. Despite a soft high-end market and slower presales, dealers are leaning into the fair’s potential for spontaneous big-ticket buys, betting that serious collectors will still respond to rare, museum-quality offerings.

A Baroque art expert may have discovered the earliest version of Caravaggio’s Boy Peeling Fruit.

Baroque scholar Gianni Papi believes he has identified the original version of Boy Peeling Fruit, long considered Caravaggio’s earliest known painting. X-ray analysis of the canvas revealed a painted-over image of a dog, suggesting the artist reused materials while experimenting with early ideas—an approach consistent with his impoverished years in Rome. If authenticated, the work would mark a significant rediscovery in Caravaggio’s career and dramatically raise the value of what was recently sold as a copy.
